Final Project



This is the Jubilee Church created by American architect Richard Meier. I couldn't figure out how to do the final rendering for the 3D model, but I got the basic parts of the architecture down.

Architecture Final Project


I kind of started the architecture project a little late, but I am getting the hang of modeling in 3DS Max. I am having a little trouble curving the three similar objects to the left of the picture, but other than that everything is going well.

The basic modeling of the robot is almost finished. All I have left before smoothing and close to finalizing is the rest of the jet pack and the two eye things on the front of the robot.

I am finished with the basic modeling for the arms, including the gun barrel. Now I am working on the basic modeling for the legs of the robot.

I am now fresh-minded and starting on the robot project. Setting up the reference images was tough, but it was better than setting them up in Maya.

I am now into the smoothing part of the robot making sure the arms and the important areas are smoothed right.

I am on the process of learning how to make the base for the pelvis of the robot, and then work on the shoulder mounts for the arms of the robot.

This is the best I'm probably going to get on this drone. I'm finished with this project.


I am now texturing the drone, and will be finishing this project soon. The rendering was being difficult because the metal is still looking like cloth, but I solved that problem by re-rendering the object.

More progress on the ship.


I worked on the ship some more, and I'm getting the hang of 3D Modeling. It's a lot easier to do the tutorials and doing the project at the same time. I'm about 40% of the way done.




I'm getting the model created slowly but surely. Also, I'm almost to the part where I can model the windshield and the arms.

I saw how to manipulate textures deeper and more effectively. Also, I saw how to make the object have a gradient in the fans on the back to brownish-white.

I started the project a little late because I thought we were just doing tutorials, and then do the project.  Today, I got the basis down on the modeling of the Space Ship.

I'm in the tutorial using the UV tool to make textures look more like the spaceship. I followed along and manipulated the textures to make them similar the other parts of the object.

I watched how to make certain textures look metallic and shiny by adding nodes, and selecting an object in viewport to transfer the material onto the object.
